Trash4Books Ghana is our seed program. We began with the simple goal of wanting to clean up Ghana! This program encourages children to keep their environment and our communities clean using books and back packs as incentives. Ghana is ranked #4 in Africa with the most trash and often ranks low within world organizations in education. A dirty environment and poor education scores go hand in hand. How can children be encouraged to learn when their living space is not conducive to studying? We all need to take care of our earth and our environment. Education is at the center for providing solutions to our environmental and education problems.
