The Official #Nature&Future book launch!!!
#WorldEnvironmentDay

TREE Africa has published a book written by our youth. This book began as a writing contest. The best writings from that contest were selected and compiled in this book. Most discussions about the environment are summits and meetings comprised of adults. We wanted to hear the opinions of our children. Here are a few pictures of the official book launch of "Nature & Future" and celebration of World Environment Day...led by our young authors. By uplifting children to be our future leaders, inventors and entrepreneurs, we believe that transformation is both imperative and possible, but it requires courage, vision and a new mindset from Africa's youth

This was a book launch truly pulled off by children! The opening prayer, keynote address, readings from the book, theme inspired drama performance, ...all done by children! There to support them were community leaders, heads of NGO's, like minded National organisations, teachers, their parents and peers. They were honoured with a certificate and a commitment from TREE Africa to plant a tree bearing each child's name at their respective schools. Leaving a true legacy of writing, reading and protecting the environment. #Nature&Future

We celebrated the children of TREE Africa and all of Africa's children, in honour of #InternationalDayoftheAfricanChild

Before the celebration, we explained that this party was to honour them! We encouraged them to go after their dreams, asked some what they wanted to be when they grow up, then we ate, danced and sang songs. A great time was had by all! We are already looking forward to celebrating #InternationalDayoftheAfricanchild2017
Keeping in line with our environmental responsibility, we brought our own bowls and spoons from home=0 waste

Following a report on a1radioonline.com on a defunct Shea Butter Processing machine belonging to a widows association in Anateem, a community in the (Ghana) Bolgatanga municipality, TREE Africa, a Non Governmental Organization has come to the aid of the widows. Helping the widows is a way of touching the community in general so they can feed their children. In return, this assistance will help provide them with income to support their families and also boost the rural economy of the area.

TREE Africa is committed to uplifting children to better prepare them to be our future leaders, inventors and entrepreneurs.  We believe that transformation is both imperative and possible, but it requires courage, vision and a new mindset from Africa's youth.

We marry to ‪#‎music‬, graduate to music, mourn to music...There are theories that music is older than speech or language. Some even argue that speech evolved from music."
Check out a fascinating new study from ‪#‎MIT‬ that "identifies neural pathways in the brain that react almost exclusively to the sound of music."

the effects of sound on the body...today we will look at the powerful link between music and the brain.

Einstein was a avid music lover and even knew how to play the violin. (Mozart was his favorite). He made this bold statement:

"I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music."

It is thought that through his musical mind he made his greatest discoveries in science.

Wouldn't it be great to tap into the secret connection between music and the brain to empower our mind to be at its optimal? After all, scientific studies show that the influence of classical music helps students perform better at tests.
