MORE :)

YES!!! We have more to say...:)

Why the name TREE?
A tree symbolizes life and growth. We thought this name conveys our message and our goal all in a single word. Although there are many branches to TREE, they are all interconnected.
It starts with the children. They are the future.
Ghana can wipe out malaria and other diseases: lowering  health care costs, prevent flood, create a whole set of new industries, so on and so forth. We must first master the fundamentals, then whatever challenges we have, we are equipped to take it on. It starts with a plan to simply clean our environment, then we will be able to manage the more complex ones like our economy, electricity, water, fiscal responsibility, etc.

TREE also does workshops with school children. Children can receive environmental education and then learn new ways to be creative with used tins, wood, cloth and other items, TREE teaches them how to make instruments from everyday refuge. Making recycling fun and giving them a creative way to express themselves!

This is one of the recycled instruments children are learning to make!
This is called a Kalimba. It is a local thumb piano made from used tins like sardine cans, tomato cans or coffee cans, scraps of metal and wood. Our children have help from an expert that assists so no one gets hurt. :)
